JIN MU STUDIO Paperweight

Paperweight originated in China’s Southern and Northern Dynasties. Ancient scholars kept weighted bronze, jade and wooden ornaments on desks for appreciation and casual fidgeting, and used them to press papers and books flat — they are essentially the earliest ancient EDC toys.

This new zirconium paperweight is named YaSong, derived from the "Ya" and "Song" chapters of The Book of Songs. Ya stands for grace and propriety; Song embodies praise and admiration, capturing scholars’ timeless appreciation for refined beauty.

Craft & New Zirconium Material
Made with traditional gold-inlaid craftsmanship, the main body boasts a sleek dark grey metallic luster and dense smooth texture. It is fitted with premium Indian Old Sandalwood from genuine Mysore plantations, known as the "treasure of sandalwood". Aged for years, the timber emits soft, gentle natural fragrance, forming a perfect blend of cold metal and aromatic wood that combines oriental classic aesthetics with modern fidget design.
The decorative front plate is carved with winding chilong dragon patterns, a sacred guardian symbol widely used on Han Dynasty bronzes and jade. The flawless polished modern metal contrasts sharply with the mystical ancient totem. An inlaid ruby at the center serves as a bright crimson highlight, injecting warm life into the cool-toned metal.

Fidget Gameplay
Designed with a 3-tone segmented track setup. Three independent rails produce layered, gradual clicking feedback with each push and pull. Combined with the calming natural sandalwood scent, it offers a full sensory experience to ease tension and soothe your mind.
