BPMODS Pioneer

BPMODS Pioneer is a 7.9mm ultra-thin modular magnetic slider with a stainless steel body and a replaceable high-grade brass track. Its zero-down-press play design gives a smooth, stable slide, while the swappable track system lets users tune sound and resistance at low cost.


The body is stainless steel, offered brushed in its natural color or PVD-coated in black sandblast, with a raised brass PIONEER plate over the bead track.

At 7.9mm it is among the thinnest sliders of its kind, achieved by embedding the spring into the body instead of seating it above.

There is no guide rail. A magnet holds the balance bead against the track, removing down-press play at the source, and the bead rolls smoothly when pushed.

The recessed bead channel doubles as a sound cavity and gives a crisp, clean ding.

The track is a module: two screws, and it lifts out, swapping sound and resistance across five options — detent, dense, ultra-dense, long-slide stutter (3-bead), and long-slide horseshoe-tone (5-bead). Teardown takes a second — the balance bead stays locked between inner core and top cover, the spring stays captive on the magnet — so swapping tracks is routine, not a project.

The factory tune runs near-frictionless; the included Teflon strips add resistance, at the cost of a slightly muffled sound.
